A purchase of the Fire Phone means you get a handful of perks—one free year of Amazon Prime membership for your Amazon account (limited-time offer), Mayday customer video support, free cloud storage, and a feature called Firefly, which is capable of pinpointing the objects that surround you in its store. These are all features no other phone offers (aside from the cloud storage bit); based on the Fire Phone’s heftier price ($200 on-contract), these are included to ease the initial shock of a higher asking price. You don’t get tomorrow's specs, though you do get some really terrific services thrown in.
