If we were to ask you which country created the best hot hatches, you’d probably say it was Germany, right? After all, class-leaders such as the AMG A45 & Golf R all originated there, so surely it makes sense?
Well, while that may be the case, there may be a new country about to stake its claim as the home of the best hot hatches… South Korea!
Now we know what you're thinking - and no, we haven't lost it! Some of the top hot hatches at the moment are originating in Asia. Take the FWD i20 N, for example. It has performance stats which match up to the likes of the VW Polo & Fiesta ST. But not only does it look great, but it comes with a number of different driving modes, along with a limited slip differential at the front as standard! With that in mind, the i20 N is easily the smart choice if you're in the market for a mini hot hatch.
And that’s not all, there are a number of new cars could be on the horizon which could be set to blow the competition out of the water - including a 585hp Ioniq 5 N! Want to find out more? You'll have to stick with Mat for his latest video!
