Here are the top ten most shocking moments caught on dash cam. Warning: some footage is graphic and intense.

Number 10 starts our list in Riverdale, New Jersey. This short but harrowing clip shows an officer arriving onto the scene where a man had been wandering in and out of traffic. As the officer engages, the man makes a break for the bridge, but is fortunately wrested to the ground right near the barrier before he's able to jump.

Number nine took place all the way across the pond in Kirkby, United Kingdom. Care of the Merseyside Police, the footage shows a Volvo being pulled over for a traffic stop. Two men exit the car and proceed to hurl bricks at an officer's windshield, resulting in a high-speed chase.

Number eight takes us to the great state of Colorado. This brief bit of footage shows a trooper in the midst of investigating a car crash as another driver barrels down the highway, nearly hitting the nimble officer and sending a cone hurtling towards him.

Number seven took place in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. In this clip, an officer attempts to issue citations to a driver on the side of the road. But as the officer issues his demands, the driver has other plans--and decides to take the officer for a spin.

Number six brings us to northern Minnesota. Here, a state trooper's dash cam captures the moment a train strikes a semi trailer hauled by a driver who attempts to cross against the oncoming locomotive. Spoiler: the trailer doesn't quite make it.

Number five occurred in Russell County, Alabama. This shocking footage shows the immediate aftermath of a murder and attempted murder as a man with his throat cut walks with police after escaping from a shallow grave--where he was buried with his dead son.

Number four went down in Montgomery County, Maryland. Here, police officers come upon a car ablaze on the shoulder of Interstate 495. Inside the burning vehicle is an unconscious man who is ultimately--and heroically--rescued from the flames.

Number three took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A distracted driver was pulled over by police after swerving and driving 15 miles below the speed limit. The driver's excuse was appropriately novel--they were reading a book too good to put down.

Number two takes us to Lincoln County, Oregon. Here, the black-and-white dash cam catches a two-year-old child running down the center of the highway, prompting an officer to stop their police vehicle and provide much-needed assistance.

And number one brings us to Shelby Township, Michigan. Here, a white car can be seen slowly but surely slamming into a police cruiser head-on--with a man hanging onto the windshield. Luckily, there were no injuries, but both men were arrested.
