It's the first time when the Leon gets an ST version which provides the car with a generous 587-liter cargo capacity that can be expanded to 1,470 liters after folding the rear seats. It has the same wheelbase as the five-door hatchback but the rear overhang has grown by 270mm to offer more luggage space. The added length has increased weight to 1,233 kg (2,718 lbs) which means it is 45 kg (99 lbs) heavier than the five-door but still the "lightest estate in its class."

The 2014 Seat Leon ST will be available with a 1.2 TSI engine offered with 86 HP (63 kW) and 105 HP (77 kW), along with a larger 1.4 TSI developing 122 HP (90 kW) or 140 HP (103 kW). Opt for the FR model and you get a 1.8 TSI outputting 180 HP (132 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.
