The second generation R8 is finally here and will be available from day one in the hotter "Plus" guise featured in the attached clip. Power comes from the familiar V10 5.2-liter naturally aspirated FSI engine which has been reworked to develop no less than 610 HP (449 kW) and a peak torque of 560 Nm (413 lb-ft).
Tipping the scales at 1,454 kg (3,205 lbs), the range-topping R8 sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in as little as 3.2 seconds and will keep on accelerating until the digital speedometer within the 12.3-inch instrument cluster will show 205 mph (330 km/h).
