This 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 may seem like overkill for a moving truck, but it’s what we had on hand when our video producer needed to relocate closer to Detroit.
Our tester came with the five-foot, eight-inch bed and the crew cab, meaning we could stuff the interior full of camera gear and other precious electronics while utilizing the back to hold more durable items.
The Sierra’s 5.3-liter V8, with its 383 pound-feet of torque, was more than enough to pull a medium-sized trailer, and allowed the whole process to be cut down into even fewer trips. Who says trucks aren’t efficient?
