2019 Renault Clio first drive review

Believe it or not, the Renault Clio is Europe’s second best-selling car behind the Volkswagen Golf. The all-new fifth-generation Clio has a lot to live up to, then, so how will it take the fight to its numerous rivals – cars like the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo, Vauxhall Corsa and Peugeot 2008 – many of which are very good indeed? The answer is with style and technology, says Renault, so does the Clio deliver. Auto Trader’s Road Test Editor Ivan Aistrop goes to Lisbon, Portugal to find out.
