2019 Toyota RAV4 Review (48 States in a Week) | Edmunds

Edmunds' editorial team drove the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Adventure across all 48 lower states in just seven days to bring you the ultimate car review. In a journey of over 7,000 miles, we drove around the clock, with five teams of three people driving 30-hour stints, stopping only for gas and comfort breaks. Starting in Maine and ending in California, this was an epic journey that saw us cross all types of terrain, from the heat of the desert to the icy wastes of the north. We encountered just about every traffic and road condition you could think of coming across on your daily drive. Our objective? To bring you the ultimate review of the new Toyota RAV4, the biggest-selling non-truck in the U.S. In a single week, across all 48 contiguous states, we’d subject the SUV to the equivalent of a year of family driving. #RAV48STATES

The Toyota RAV4 Adventure is a bit special since it adds some styling flourishes along with its extra equipment. On top of getting most of the XLE Premium's contents, the Adventure has unique 19-inch alloy wheels, fender flares, all-weather floor mats, taller roof rails, an upgraded rearview camera (with guidelines), embossed seating details, an upgraded driver information display, an 8-inch touchscreen and satellite radio. The Adventure trim level is also rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds, while all other RAV4 trim levels can only pull 1,500 pounds.
