2019 Volkswagen Passat Estate first drive review

The Passat is one of VW’s biggest success stories, and now it’s had a makeover for 2019 to keep it fresh. This means tweaked looks, new tech and the return of the Passat GT plug-in hybrid. It’s got competition that ranges from volume cars like the Ford Mondeo through to more premium offerings like Audi’s A4. We went to Germany to drive it, and find out how it compares.
