Here are 7 unusual dinosaurs recently discovered.

Scientists have been hard at work digging up fossils and revisiting many previously gathered. In the process, they have found a number of new species, and some of them are really rather strange.
Here are 7 recently discovered unusual dinosaurs.
Number 7. Anzu wyliei. While that is the reptile’s official name, many have taken to calling it the "Chicken from Hell." Like the birds we know today the creature had a beak and feathers. Thankfully unlike those of modern times, the beast was 11 feet long and weighed 500 pounds.
Number 6. Yi qi. That translates as ‘strange wing,’ which this dinosaur certainly had. Researchers have compared them to those of a bat. Though only about the size of a pigeon, the species is believed to have some big and famous relatives, including the velociraptor.
Number 5. ‘Lightning Claw’. You don’t get a nickname like that for being slow and cuddly, so there should be no a surprise the dinosaur had 10-inch talons extending from its hands. Also, the 22-foot long, flesh-eater is the largest prehistoric carnivorous reptile ever found in Australia.
Number 4. Chilesaurus diegosuarezi. The creature is a mishmash of sorts, having many features typically found elsewhere in prehistoric nature. Those include the teeth of a plant eater, the arms of a velociraptor, and the walking stance of a T-rex.
Number 3. Regaliceratops peterhewsi. You can just call the prehistoric herbivore Hellboy – the scientists who discovered it do. The 70 million year old specimen is notable for the pronounced crown-like frills and horns adorning the skull.
Number 2. Qijianglong guokr. Having a neck that takes up about half of one’s 50-foot-long body sounds uncomfortable and perhaps even a bit painful.  Researchers believe this dinosaur, which lived during the Late Jurassic period, was able to make do, thanks to extra-light, air-filled vertebrate.
Number 1. Zhenyuanlong suni. Based on an incredibly well preserved fossil, scientists are confident this dinosaur was covered in feathers, some of which formed wings on its very short arms. What they can’t figure out is why the plumage developed, as the creature was likely flightless. Regardless, the find is on record as the largest winged dino ever found.
