Here are 7 things done better on the West Coast than the East Coast.

While there are plenty of things the eastern states can brag about, here are 7 things the West Coast does better.
Number 7. Vineyards. Roughly 60% of the wine produced in the US comes from California. Oregon and Washington also make sizable contributions to keep the nation’s goblets full.
Number 6. Growing trees. Along the Northern California coast, trees can grow to far greater heights than their eastern counterparts. In the east, for example, tallest is a word used to describe one that measures nearly 200 feet. Earning the superlative on the West Coast requires a height of nearly twice that.
Number 5. Scenic drives. While the east coast has it share of beautiful drives, it's hard to match the splendor of natural beauty along California's Pacific Coast Highway.
Number 4. Burger Chains. Americans have spoken, and according to Consumer Reports they declared The Habit Burger Grill and In-N-Out Burger, both founded in California, as the top spots for the quick-serve eats.
Number 3. Surfing. Along with the water’s large expanse and prevailing winds, the Pacific Ocean simply produces bigger waves. Because of this, the region has developed an entire culture around the sport.
Number 2. Electric Cars. When it comes to supporting eco-conscious electric vehicles, or EVs, over gas-guzzling SUVs and the like, cities in California, Oregon, and Washington get top marks.  No city on the East Coast made it onto the top 10 list compiled by EV energy supplier Chargepoint.
Number 1. Weather. Thanks to the warm winds rolling off the Pacific, many cities nearby rarely experience temperatures that are frigid.  While Seattle once plummeted to zero degrees Fahrenheit, that was back in the 1950s. Boston, on the other hand, suffered 28 consecutive, well below freezing days just last year.
