This is a flip cover prototype made for the Alcatel OneTouch Hero, its 6-inch flagship smartphone. The device has a set of magnetic ports for docking stations, flip covers and other accessories, and Alcatel has designed a flip cover prototype with a full E-ink display. There are many obvious use cases, such as reading e-books and notifications without sucking the battery dry. Alcatel isn't sure if or when this will come to market.
