Alexis Kaushansky, an Assistant Professor at the Center for Infectious Disease Research in Seattle, believes that in order to tackle malaria, she has to use all the tools at her disposal. For Alexis, that includes technology, chemistry, and even politics. Powered by Microsoft tools that keep her global team aligned, her mosquitoes on schedule and her data organized, she’s hoping to not only cure malaria, but also create a drug that will combat the infectious diseases of the past, present and future.
