Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a game that's been in development for years, but still has some rough edges. It looks like Left 4 Dead crossed with Dead Space, but the reality is it plays more like an aracde-y shooter than survival team horror. Repetitive environments, squish-y weapons, and imprecise shooting makes for a chaotic experience. It's not all bad, the alien design is great, and there are moments of fun blasting away hordes of xenomorphs, but this game fails to capture either the thrill of the movies, or the tension of Alien: Isolation.
