A new trend
The traditional stand-peeing is now competing with a new sitting-while-peeing method for the sake of cleanliness and health. For example, in Sweden, they’ve even been debating a law to make restrooms “genderless,” offering only toilets and encouraging men to sit. Let's consider the matter in all its bearings and see why some think that this method may be preferrable.
It's good for health
They say, there are several benefits of sitting while urinating, and we'll start with the health issues.
Standing to pee appears to activate a lot of discreet muscles in the pelvis and spine that prevent proper urination. The problem concerns mostly public toilets where men flex these muscles more often, mainly to prevent themselves from letting go embarrassing farts.
But men who pee while sitting empty their bladder completely. This leads to better health of their prostates, hence these men might have a longer sex life. According to some research, men with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are even recommended to pee in the sitting position as thus they will be able to empty their bladders more.
