Best DSLR 2018 - Best Camera 2018 - Best Beginner DSLR 2018
Hey there, my name's Chris Winter and in this video I'm going to go through some of the Best DSLR Cameras For 2018 so you can get an idea of which camera might be best for you.
But anyway lets get on to todays question.
————————
So today's question asks:
"Hey Chris, Thanks for all your videos. I've been into photography for a number of years but have stuck to my old Canon 550D for a while now. If you've got time, would you be able to let me know Best DSLR Cameras you'd recommend from beginner to semi-pro? Thanks"
Well that's a great question but a little difficulut but I'll try and do my best.
These days there are a number of different DSLR Cameras out on the market at different price ranges and to be honest even the very budget DSLR's can shoot great quality images.
But for this video maybe I'll try and give a few DSLR Cameras from Canon and Nikon and then maybe make another video for mirrorless cameras such as Sony & Panasonic.
So for the very basic beginner cameras I'd recommend one of these two cameras.
Firstly here we have the D3400 DSLR which is a great beginner friendly camera from Nikon.
It's got great image quality for a beginner DSLR and shoots at a pretty fast burst rate which is good for shooting sports and wildlife.
You could also look at the Canon T6 DSLR or 1300D DSLR. It's got a different name if youre outside of America but in reality it's very very similar.
The 1300D DSLR is a little bit more on the basic side, no touch screen or flip screen, but for photography it's a great learner camera.
Both of these cameras are really small and portable so their great for travelling as well.
So they were the very beginner cameras, and then we've got a couple of other cameras which i'd recommend if you want a little more bang for your buck.
For example you could look at teh Nikon D5600 DSLR which is still small adn lgihtweight but has some sweet features.
One feautre for example is this flip out screen which is actually the only Nikon DSLR ot have it.
Bigger models like hte D500 DSLR and D7500 DSLR have a flip up screen but theyre not as good.
The D5600 also records pretty nice video too.
And then on teh Canon side the new Canon T7i DSLR or 800D DSLR is a nice camera to look at.
it's pretty much a mini Canon 80D DSLR and has great autofocus in video mode.
Its got a technology called dual pixel autofocus which gives you brilliant smooth and fast autofocus and its great.
It is a little bit more expensive though so honestly for a lot of people I'd recommned this new camera here, the SL2 DSLR or 200D DSLR.
This only just came out but its a real winner espeically if youre into make videos on youtube.
Even though this is a fiar bit cheaper than the T7i its actually got a lot fo the same features.
It can shoot 5 frames per second, has a flip out touch screen and also has a mic jack so you can record some great video.
its a real winner and is the most popular budget DSLR this year.
If you want to step up into that prosumer range though a couple of cameras I love are the Nikon D7500 DSLR and the Canon 70D DSLR and 80D DSLR.
The D7500 DSLR is brand new as well and actually shoots in 4k video.
Its still a great stills camera but having that awesome 4k quality is brilliant and is very clear.
It's autofocus isnt great though especially when you compare it ot the 70d DSLR and 80d DSLR.
I actually use the 70d as my main camera and im shooting with it now.
The 80d DSLR is even better because it has a headphone jack which means you can listen to what youre recordign to make sure its sounding great.
One step up again and then you start getting into cameras that are a bit more specifici to what you want to shoot.
For example if you're into shooting sports and wildlife I'd look at getting the Canon 7d Mark ii DSLR or the Nikon D500 DSLR.
both of these are incredibly quick at stills autofocus and have super high burst rates.
This allows you to capture things like fast moving sports or birds in flight.
but if youre more into portraits and weddings, you could look at somethign like this the new Canon 6D Mark ii DSLR.
it has a huge full frame sensor which allows in more light and gives you a very shallow depth of field if you want it to create some beautiful shots.
So they were some of the Best DSLR Cameras for 2018, hopefully I helped you make a decision.
I hope you have a great day, and I'll see you next time.
