The topic of both VR and AR headsets has always been complicated. This is one of those cool ideas that in my opinion has struggled to take off because of poor implementation. HTC bet the company on the Vive, but it was a tank to wear, and the idea lost its footing in all the extra computing you needed to buy. Meta also bet the company on a much smaller headset, but then still can't convince anyone that the metaverse is better than the real world.

Really the only concept that has succeeded has been to give you a large screen on your face. We've covered some of the solutions from TCL and Lenovo, but so far the only company that has succeeded in this market is NReal, but mainly because it balanced the looks with functionality that continues to evolve through software. I've spent the last six months using the Nreal Air and there's a lot to discuss, especially after their recent announcements at GDC, which they've partnered with us to look into. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow, and let's dive in.
