The BLU Life One X2 Mini continues the fine tradition of underpowered "mini" phones. I'm Adam Doud, this is Pocketnow and this is our 60-second review.
The BLU Life One X2 Mini makes one big compromise in the specifications department. Underneath the Gorilla Glass 3 coating is a Snapdragon 430 1.4GHz processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, so it's not all bad. In our experience, 4GB of memory tend to make up for a slower chipset.
The 13MP camera is decent as long as your lighting is too. If it's not you're going to have a bag full of problems getting a clean shot.
On the software side, BLU has a more typical Android build, but with a maximum of four columns of icons, which we found a little irritating. We enjoyed the ability to swipe down the notification shade from anywhere on the home screen and the webOS swipe back gesture on the fingerprint sensing home button is delightful.
There is no NFC, so Android Pay is a no-show, but this phone retails for $179.99 on Amazon. That's right, this phone costs less than $200, and it comes with the typical clear case, and earphones that come with most BLU phones.
Our overall impression is it's not a bad phone, but it's not a great one either, but for the price it might be worth it.
