The Carwow Black Friday sale is now live: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-1311
If you wanted a luxury German saloon without the luxury price tag, you’d probably consider buying a used car… But how about a used car that’s over 20 years old!?
Well, Mat’s got his hands on an Audi A4, BMW 3 series and a Mercedes C-class all from the early 2000s to see if opting for a classic saloon is worth it. Oh, and he’s going to drag race them of course!
First up the Audi A4. It’s covered 129,000 miles and has a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 130hp & 195nm. That power goes to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
Then there’s the Mercedes C180. It's driven 126,000 miles and has a 1.8-litre inline four-cylinder engine with a supercharger. It puts out 141hp & 220nm. That power goes to the rear-wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
Then finally, there’s the BMW 318i. It's covered 88,000 miles and has a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated inline four-cylinder engine that makes 140hp & 200nm. That power goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox
So, which one of these old saloon cars will be Mat’s favourite? Keep watching and find out!
