Who’s ready for an epic Brabus showdown?!
We’ve got our hands on the incredible Brabus 900 Rocket R, and it’s set to face off against two 900 Superblacks - one based on the GLS, and one based on the G63!
So let’s see how these epic machines compare. The 900 Rocket R is based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S. The standard car is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six that provides 650hp and 800Nm of torque. However, Brabus has added two high-performance turbos, while also making several other tweaks. As a result, the Rocket R produces an incredible 900hp and 1,000Nm! This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, weighing in at 1,640kg.
The Rocket R is limited to just 25 units, and from new, it costs an eye-watering £400,000!
Alongside it, we have the 900 Superblack GLS and the 900 Superblack G63. Both cars usually come with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, but these engines have now been uprated to 4.5-litre, and have both had two new turbos added. As a result, these cars now produce 900hp and 1,250Nm (although the torque has been limited to 1,050Nm).
The G63 weighs in at 2,700kg, while the GLS weighs 2,800kg. And while the G63 costs £360,000, the GLS ‘only’ costs £330,000.
So the winner of this race may be a foregone conclusion, but how will the two Superblacks compare? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
