This is the Byton M-Byte, the final production version of the first model from the start-up brand and one of the biggest Chinese debuts at the Frankfurt motor show.

Originally previewed by a concept at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2018, the production M-Byte is a pure-electric SUV that’s 4,875mm long - so longer than a Jaguar I-Pace but slightly shorter than an Audi e-tron. It’ll be offered with a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive, with power outputs of 268bhp and 402bhp respectively.
