Today Canon announced the new EOS R5 - the next flagship mirrorless camera that will record 8k raw video internally, as well as 4k at 120p. We don't have the announced price yet, but we can assume this will be affordable in relation to video cameras that cost tens of thousands of dollars. Even if its on the level of the 1dx mark III, that will be giving you pro-grade features within reach.

Canon have done this before - most famously with the 5D Mark II - which was the first hybrid camera to deliver stills and video exceptionally well. So will the EOS R5 be the same game-changer that the 5D Mark II was back in its day? We thought it would be worth a discussion.
