'PlayMemories Online' is Sony's cloud-based photo and video service that turns everyday records into enjoyable 'Memories.' It automatically organizes photos that you upload from your smartphone/computer and lets you enjoy them on a PlayStation or another device.

Every day, a photo is automatically picked from your memorable collection and displayed on the top screen of the app. The photo can be chosen from something taken exactly a year ago, last month or in another manner. Long-forgotten friends and events will be unexpectedly brought back.
