Comet ISON Draws Near, But Will it Survive?

Comets happen all the time, but ISON is special: At 4.5 billion years old, it's still "dynamically new" - meaning it's never passed the sun before. On Thanksgiving day, the comet will come into its closest approach to the sun, which could mean a spectaular holiday lightshow visible to the naked eye.
