Thanks to David Lynch's... uh, "unique" sensibilities, Wild at Heart isn't exactly your typical Nicolas Cage movie. Which, in this case at least, is a very, very good thing. These days, the actor is equal parts punchline along with A-lister, but as a Southern outlaw named Sailor, Cage continued to prove he's at his best when he's at his most bizarre. While critics and audiences were mixed on Lynch's follow up to the equally out-there Blue Velvet, Cannes goers loved it (well, most of them anyway). And so will you, if you're willing to give it a shot.
