Android's Network Service Discovery (NSD) allows apps to find nearby peers on their local network, useful for multiplayer gaming, collaboration, or otherwise finding nearby servers. We'll talk about about the mDNS and DNS-SD protocols, and discuss how to implement this feature into your own code on Android.
