Disney+ Is Censoring Some Violence in Falcon & Winter Soldier Series - IGN The Fix: Entertainment

Update: Falcon and the Winter Soldier will soon be reverting to the previous, non-censored version of the show after what IGN understands was a version control issue within Disney. A source within Disney tells IGN that the wrong file was published by accident, which featured scenes that removed blood and other violence. Disney is reportedly working to correct the issue as soon as possible.

In Marvel news, even with the TV-MA Netflix Marvel shows on Disney Plus, it appears there's censorship happening on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. One scene in particular was spotted by Reddit user Moonin Moulin, where they noticed in episode 3 around the 37min 45sec mark - Bucky throws a metal bar at a female thug that pierces her shoulder, pinning her to the container. In another scene from Falcon and Winter Soldier's third episode involving the death of Wilfred Nagel, we see him completely bloodied with his eyes wide open. In the now edited scene, we see him with his eyes closed and his shirt completely clean. it seems #DisneyPlus is being very selective with what it might deem too bloody and violent for the TV-14 rated #Marvel series. The TV-14 rating carries with it violence, language and adult themes, so you'd think being rated as such, and with the amount of violence showcased in the series, it was in the clear. In other entertainment news, HBO has finally revealed the premiere date for the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon. And finally, in some unfortunate news, Bruce Willis' family revealed the actor will be retiring from his long career in the industry.
