The Hasselblad 45p is a major step forward in the realization of the XCD system. With the original X1D, we finally had portability in a high-end medium format camera system. While the current trends in lens design seem to be leaning towards sharpness with no regard to price and size, we’ve seen lots of beautiful lenses in the last year that are completely impractical due to the weight and expense.
