At the recently concluded 2020 Delhi Auto Expo, Hero Electric showcased its upcoming electric bike AE 47 (codename) which is a close-to-production model. Set to take on the Revolt RV400, the Hero Electric AE47 will offer a range of 160km in eco mode and 85km in power mode. Deriving its power from a 6.5kw (8.7bhp) motor, the electric motorcycle can achieve a top speed of 100kmph. To reach the 60kmph from zero, it takes 9 seconds which makes it relatively slow. Expected to launch in September 2020, the AE47 could be priced at Rs 1.5 lakh.
