House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 2, reviewed by Helen O'Hara. Narrated by Alan Wheeler.
The thing about build up is that it can provide a satisfying sense of growing tension and excitement, or it can block an artery. If House of the Dragon does much more slow building it may lapse into the second sort of buildup rather than the first. In Episode 2 of Season 2, Rhaenyra is back at the head of her council, exercising control; Daemon is once again a wild card and Alicent is desperately trying to keep her warring family in check. Would it be unkind to ask for more dragons from the house of the dragon? Even exchanging one scene in council for a single reptile would help. It feels like we’re ready for the next step, it really does. Let’s move.
