The Bixby button on the Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 has caused many a headache. Users have complained the button is easily pressed by mistake. Others refuse to use Bixby at all. Up until now living with a functioning Bixby button was part of using a new Galaxy device… That changed yesterday when Samsung finally updated the Bixby app. The new app allows users to disable the Bixby button. That said, what I’d really like to see is the ability to map the Bixby button to other device functions.
This update appears to have rolled out to select Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 devices. I’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before all new Galaxy devices include this option.
