Android XR is the newest operating system from Google, and it's specifically designed for headsets. So far, we've seen two form factors: VR-style headsets like Samsung's Project Moohan, and AR-style glasses in prototype form from Google. At Google I/O 2025, our own C. Scott Brown got to try both styles. Here are his thoughts about how Android XR works on these two upcoming products!
