In today’s episode of The Daily Fix, Disney has revealed Dreamlight Valley, a “life sim” featuring Disney and Pixar characters. Kinda seems like the Disney version of Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, which could be very cool. What also could be very cool is a 2-hour trial of a game you might be interested in buying. PlayStation has reportedly mandated that every new game with an MSRP of $35 or more come with a 2-hour trial within a couple of months of that game’s launch. Sony has not confirmed this, but it seems like the rule does not apply retroactively to already-released games. This could be bad news for smaller developers, though, as many indie games aren’t that long and two hours could be a good chunk of the game they’re trying to sell you. And speaking of small indie developers, Bethesda (that’s a joke, they’re obviously not an indie dev) has made the first two Elder Scrolls games free on Steam. Now you can play The Elder Scrolls: Arena and its sequel Daggerfall (still one of the largest games ever made in terms of virtual square miles) completely free if you don’t already own it. It’s your Daily Fix!
