There is a fix! If there is no Apple store near you, and you feel comfortable enough opening up your phone to disconnect the battery, your phone will be as good as new afterward! No data will be lost from this error.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ARE GENTLE WITH YOUR SCREEN. Do not lift it up past 90 degrees during this repair, or you will damage the screen ribbon cables.
