Based on a true story, Just Mercy stars Michael B. Jordan as a young lawyer, Bryan Stevenson, who heads to Alabama to defend those wrongly condemned or who were not afforded proper representation. The film highlights one of Stevenson's first cases involving Walter McMillian (Jaime Foxx) who, in 1987, was sentenced to die for the notorious murder of an 18-year-old girl. Just Mercy will be available in select theaters on December 25, 2019 and will be available everywhere on January 10, 2020.
