Keanu Reeves is back in full-blown action mode as John Wick - a lethal hitman forced out of a peaceful retirement by gangsters who invade his home and commit the cardinal movie sin of harming an adorable puppy.

Despite that grim synopsis, the John Wick trailer landed like a shot of adrenaline. It's assuredness practically announces the start of a new franchise with what looks like incredible stunt work inside of precise, well-directed action sequences.
