In today's episode of The Fix: Entertainment, Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige is reportedly—and obviously—not happy with Scarlett Johannson's lawsuit against Disney. No, he's not upset with her, he's upset with Disney. Apparently the MCU mastermind had lobbied Disney to address ScarJo's concerns over her contract, which stems from Disney's decision to release Black Widow on Disney+ Premiere Access on the same day as its theatrical release. Feige reportedly is 'angered and embarrassed' over the situation. Hopefully the situation is resolved amicably and that it doesn't affect Johannson's potential to worth with Marvel/Disney in the future. On the DC side of things, director David Ayer has again commented on the existence of a director's cut of his Suicide Squad. In light of the rave reviews James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is getting, the 2016 movie is being looked at in an even more unfavorable light, much to Ayer's lament. On Twitter, Ayer said that a director's cut exists (in some form) and that a few—but only a select few—people have seen it. He claims he won't comment publicly on the matter anymore, but it's pretty obvious he's a little upset that Zack Snyder got his 4-hour-long Justice League made and released, while the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad will likely never see the light of day. But then again...everyone said that about the Snyder Cut, too. And finally, Netflix has its sights set on Christopher Nolan. The blockbuster auteur filmmaker has publicly said he has no intention of make a straight-to-streaming movie, preferring to stick with traditional theatrical distribution for his films. Recently, Netflix cut a deal with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, which kind of runs counter to Spielberg's similar comments about releasing his movies straight to VOD. Now that Netflix has Spielberg in their corner, they're gonna work their magic (and probably flash that checkbook) on Nolan.
