2024 Land Rover Range Rover Reviews, Pricing & Specs
Land Rover built a name for itself off-road, but its prowess extends far beyond the trails. The full-fat Range Rover is one of the world’s most luxurious SUVs; in fact, it has long been the transporter of choice for royal families and dignitaries around the world.
What’s New for the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover
Land Rover gave the Range Rover a powertrain update for 2024, replacing the plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain with a more potent setup. The Range Rover SV now gets a V8 with staggering output, and there’s a new SV Bespoke service, which lets buyers customize nearly every part of the vehicle. Land Rover also revealed a Carmel Edition variant with price tag topping $370,000.
Design
The new Land Rover is still immediately recognizable, but its styling has been refined for the latest generation. Long, straight lines accent the otherwise cleanly styled SUV, and it retains its signature LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Land Rover offers a variety of colors, wheel choices, and exterior trim options, giving buyers a long list of customization choices, even before we start talking about the SV Bespoke options.
Powertrain
The 2024 Range Rover is available with four powertrain choices, including the base turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a mild-hybrid system that delivers 395 horsepower. There’s also a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 making 523 horsepower, a plug-in hybrid with 542 horsepower, and the range-topping V8, which delivers 606 horsepower. With the top V8, the hefty Range Rover should be able to scoot from zero to 60 mph in fewer than four seconds. Though it manages brutal acceleration for a large SUV, it’s clear Land Rover tuned the Range Rover more for comfort than for all-out performance. It also comes with adjustable air suspension, which enhances ride comfort while providing solid handling when asked.
Interior
The new Range Rover’s cabin is plush in every direction, with top-notch quality materials and gorgeous design. Depending on the configuration, the SUV gets high-end leathers, premium wood, and deluxe metal accents, and there’s fantastic space for passengers. The third-row seat is cramped and should be reserved for kids on shorter trips.
Technology
Land Rover equips a 13.1-inch curved display running its latest Pivi Pro infotainment system for the 2024 Range Rover. The new interface is responsive, intuitive, and less distracting to use than the automaker’s previous systems. A 13.7-inch digital gauge cluster is available, along with a rear-seat entertainment system featuring two 11.4-inch screens. The SUV is also available with a 35-speaker Meridian sound system with active noise-canceling technology.
Safety
Several advanced driver aids come standard on the 2024 Range Rover, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, and more.
Pricing
Pricing for the 2024 Range Rover starts at just under $109,000 and extends to more than $370,000 for the limited Carmel Edition. The mid-range models, while expensive, offer the best value, and they come with more powerful engines without breaking the bank entirely.
