Loki Ep. 5: Do These Clues Reveal The Secret Villain Behind the TVA? | MCU Canon Fodder

Loki Episode 5 finally gets us a teeny bit closer to revealing the secret villain behind the TVA but our valiant variant league of Lokis will have to resort to some crazy sci-fi magic to get there. Directed by Kate Herron, Journey Into Mystery is Loki’s wildest episode yet: We got a BUNCH of variant Lokis, the best giant smoke monster since Lost and a cliffhanger tease that may well affect the entire MCU going forward, not to mention more easter eggs than we’ve seen in the last four episodes combined. In the Loki trailer, there’s a shot of a ruined earth but now we know that’s The Void, the place The Time Variance Authority sends everything and everyone they prune. In pretty much every episode of Loki, Disney Plus has shown us that a bunch of variant versions of Loki are hanging out there. The classic Marvel villain is hanging out with Old Loki, who is struggling with his nature. The Loki trailers have obscured who the real villain is in this Disney Plus series so Loki Kang is a top search term because they’re really trying to make us think it’s Kang the Conqueror. Kang is the villain in Ant-Man 3, but if he shows up in Loki, he could be the next big villain for the MCU Phase 4. The MCU has a habit of giving us early teases of major villains (remember Thanos?) but with Marvel Studios, Loki shows us that Mobius and and Sylvie may all meet Kang soon enough.

Loki Quantum Realm theories are out there since we know the Quantum Realm is the key to time travel in the Disney, MCU, otherwise we’d be stuck thinking about the Loki death in Avengers Endgame. Marvel’s Loki definitely gives viewers something new. Rockstars like Classic Loki are a main focus of the Loki show, Loki TV show, Loki TV series and the Loki series, which are all just variants of the same thing included here for maximum searchability.

While Marvel Studios’ Loki on Disney + certainly puts its characters in a state of emergency, awesome things are coming in the finale. Will we finally see Kang? Loki Kang? Or Kang Loki?
