We've been watching Lucid Motor's development of their Air EV for years now, but the Bay-Area auto startup says they are finally nearly production. We got to do a ride-along in their Air GT model, a $130,000 electric luxury car that delivers neck-snapping speed, and an incredible claimed 517 miles of range, with the ability to charge up to 300 miles in only 20 minutes on a supported 900 volt supercharger.
For an EV from a company that isn't Tesla and doesn't have the engineering history of an OEM like VW, BMW, Mercedes, or Ford, Lucid is starting to look like the real thing.
