Video Script; Good Afternoon everyone. Today we are going to test the rendering and ssd speed performance of 1200 USD M1 Macbook Air 16GB version against 1600 USD Gaming Beast ASUS ROG STRIX G17. This Windows Gaming Beast is really a serious Opposite for the Macbook Air, actually they are not even at the same class and also we all know this little apple is not a gaming performer. On the other hand it can be a serious rival to alot of more expensive Windows PC’s with its rendering performance. So, this will be a Rendering battle and i am also going to perform an SSD speed test in this video.
Well, We will be rendering this same Project on both devices at the same time on Premiere Pro.
but before we get started i would like to mention that Macbook renders this 10 minutes 4K 60fps HEVC codec project alot earlier on Final Cut Pro at around 15 minutes.As Final Cut is not available on Windows, we have to render on Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve, but we preferred Premire Pro as it is more common.Ok, first test, which laptop is going to open the Premiere Pro Faster.Next, the timeline preview performance for both devices while you are editing. Also Playing while editing for both computers, have no problem.And now! The rendering Performances. Again the total project time is 10 minutes, 4K at 60fps, there is one basic title all among the video and a Graphic Animation at the first 5 seconds. Of course, the ASUS beast is ahead, thanks to its onboard radeon graphics and 3060 rtx card, and it has one more advantage that macbook is not rendering on its optimized final cut. This gives us an obvious fact, you should not use premiere pro on Macbook if you want to get faster rendering performance. ASUS ROG finished rendering at 10 minutes and 26 seconds. While Macbook air is still at 33%. After 13 minutes of rendering, macbook’s temprature tops to 44.9 Celcius Degrees.And, finally Macbook Air finished rendering on Premiere Pro at 35 minutes and 16 seconds. it took 3.5 times longer than the ASUS.
