In the upcoming film "The Martian," which hits theaters on October 2, Matt Damon plays an astronaut stranded on Mars who has to "science the sh*t" out of stuff to survive. CNET's Ashley Esqueda chats with Damon about the role, working with director Ridley Scott and why he thinks it's necessary for some humans to get off this planet.
