The new Mortal Kombat movie is filled with Easter Eggs and references to the games that inspired the film. In this video, we break down each and every one we could find.

Though of course, FULL SPOILERS for the 2021 film follow!

We cover everything we found in Mortal Kombat 2021, like the scene when the crew enters Raiden's temple. There they find murals on the wall featuring a number of important Mortal Kombat characters including Great Kung Lao, Shao Kahn, Goro (or at least some other Shokan), and, while this might be a stretch, what appears to be Sindel grieving for her husband Jerrod while Edenia is destroyed.

We also delve into Shang Tsung's variation of the iconic line "Finish him" when talking to Mileena in the movie, and Scorpion's classic "Get over here" from when he confronts Sub-Zero.

Then there are the more subtle nods, like the boxer that Cole defeated to win a championship, who is named Eddie Tobias -- which is a play on Ed Boon and John Tobias, two of the original creators of Mortal Kombat. Their names were also used for the character "Noob Saibot" -- see, it's their last names spelled backwards! Noob Saibot doesn't make an appearance in this film, but hope springs eternal that he will in the sequel, especially for Sub-Zero fans.
