Right now, you can take your own panoramic images using a regular camera or even your smartphone to create your own gigapixel art to literally see details beyond the human eye. What is a gigapixel? It's actually one billion pixels. Microsoft Research is now unveiling their Gigapixel Art Zoom project where they're showing you how to create 20 gigapixels images for anyone to use and access.
