John Stamos is using his bachelor skills to help improve your marriage. Well, maybe not yours, and not quite in real life, but it looks his latest movie may hold some gems when it comes to marital advice.

My Man Is a Loser stars Stamos alongside veterans Michael Rapaport and Bryan Callen who play two "losers" who realize that their wives have lost any real interest in them. Despite their best efforts to keep things fresh in their marriages, they resort to desperate measures and enlist Jon Stamos' freewheeling bachelor to teach them how to connect with women again and regain a little fire in their lackluster relationships.

What makes this movie look a little more interesting than your usual rom-com highlighting the perils of marriage is that these men are not looking to score with a stripper or cheerleader and get out of their commitments. Instead of asking the bachelor to take them for a wild weekend in Vegas, these men are looking for help to save their marriages on the ground. This is something we can get on board with. If the goal of these likable losers is to regain the respect and attraction of their wives, this is kind of new territory for Hollywood. These guys are looking to grow up -- not just escape. They simply want to make their lives more fun. Seems to me like this may be a story that will hold some life lessons for those in long-term relationships. Don't run away. Work at it. Bring back the fun. And based on what we know about John Stamos' real-life bachelor ways, seems like he's the right man for the job.
