After developing a meaningful friendship and a shared idea around navigating mental health, Marah and Naomi left the security of their full time jobs to turn their side hustle into a startup. As women of color, they set the intention and took the leap to create Shine because they didn’t see themselves or their experiences in mainstream wellness. Shine is a mental wellness app that helps its community cope, process, and heal on a daily basis in a way that works for each unique experience.
