Volkswagen’s relentless SUV boom continues with this, the new VW T-Roc R. It’s the R division’s second performance model, joining the Golf, and is due to go on sale in the UK at the end of the year.

Set to make its debut at March’s Geneva Motor Show, it joins a rapidly-expanding class of compact performance SUVs, all from the VW Group stable, with the Audi SQ2 and Cupra Ateca its direct rivals.
