Even though the fabled R35-generation Nissan GT-R experienced styling updates for the 2024 model year, there has been speculation about Godzilla’s future. That said, there is going to be a 2025 model year for Nissan’s flagship sports coupe, though right now it is only official in Japan. The 2025 GT-R expands some of the upgrades previously found in Nismo Special Edition cars, adds a new interior color, and incorporates special badges. Still responsible for powering the R35 GT-R is Nissan’s VR38DETT engine. In base trim, this 3.8-liter V-6 accelerates up to 565 horsepower and generates 467 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission in the United States. That figure jumps to 600 ponies and 481 pound-feet of torque in the Nismo configuration.
