What do you do when you want to spice up your incredibly popular high-performance SUV? Add power, of course! That's Lamborghini's solution anyhow. The Italian marque did exactly that with the 2025 Urus SE, joining the Raging Bull's lineup as a powerful plug-in-hybrid SUV.
Lamborghini describes the SE as having "two hearts," thanks to the new electric powertrain pairing up with the standard combustion block. The SE adds a 189-hp electric motor to the eight-speed automatic transmission. Power from the twin-turbocharged V-8 is down slightly from the standard car, making 612 horsepower versus 657 in the nonhybrid.
Only time will tell whether the reduction is due to a mechanical limitation with the transmission, or if Lamborghini is holding back for a future higher-performance variant. We'd put our money on the latter. In any event, the SE churns out a combined 789 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque, thundering from zero to 62 mph in a claimed 3.4 seconds. That makes the SE 0.1 seconds faster than the standard Urus S, though it loses out to the Urus Performante by the same margin.
