Merry Christmas Everyone!
This is my 2017 Christmas song choice for this year. A lot of firsts for me in this video. Besides the video chain, this time there was also an audio chain that consisted of a Yamaha mixing board and a large diaphragm mic.
TOO COOL :) Amazon has given me my own personal page on their big Amazon Web site:

Computer: 2017 27” iMac i7 4.2 GHz
Filmed in my Christmas Room. This is a room decorated for Christmas all year round. The lights are set up and the camera has dedicated positions.
This video is recorded with 2 cameras - the Canon 80D and the Panasonic GH5. The 80D was the main camera, the GH5 was the 2nd angle. The 80D was set to 1080 ALL-I 30p. The GH5 was set to 4K 30p. in I used a 1080 timeline in FCPX.
I used a hairlight soft box behind me and one soft box in front of me. The unusual set-up for this film was I wanted the Christmas tree to be more a part of the scenery. To do this, I used much lower powered bulbs in both the main light and the hair light. The light in the room and I think the ISO needed to be cranked up to ISO 1600 with the main lens at f/1.4 and a 1/60 shutter speed. The bulbs were also warm white (2700K) rather than the standard photo bulbs which usually are at 5500K or in that area and have a much higher CRI rating.
On the audio side I used an Audio-Technica AT2020 large diaphragm mic with XLR cabling. I didn't want to wear headphones do I had to have a monitor speaker on the floor near me low enough for the mic to not get a lot of that sound, but still loud enough for me to hear to sing to the audio. The easy thing would have been to just wear headphones lol.
To edit and process this video, I used the 2017 iMac. It specs out at 4.2Ghz, 27" Retina display, 1TB internal SSD drive. Here is the link to the actual one I bought at B&H:
The software I used to do the editing in the computer is Final Cut Pro X.
What about Jingles??
Jingles works for food (and love) :)
